Nutrition AssistantAs our Nutrition Assistant, you will assist in delivering high-quality, safe, and efficient food services to patients and staff. Every day you will prepare and deliver meal trays, assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, ensure food safety compliance, and interact with patients regarding dietary needs. To be successful, you will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong food safety knowledge, and excellent customer service, contributing to a positive dining experience.Responsibilities:Dietary Compliance & Preparation: Follows therapeutic diet guidelines, allergy restrictions, and prepares meals, nourishments, snacks, and supplements accordingly, utilizing production toolsPatient Communication & Education: Explains basic therapeutic diet orders and menus to patients and families, escalating complex nutrition questions to clinical supportPreference Collection & Distribution: Collects patient food preferences, ensures compliance with diet orders, and distributes preferences for timely menu planningElectronic System Proficiency: Operates electronic diet office software and navigates electronic health records to access patient diet orders and nutritional reportsGeneral Cleaning & Sanitation: Performs regular cleaning of equipment and work areas, including tray lines, coolers, office areas, and emptying trashCustomer Service & Support: Ensures patient satisfaction regarding dietary needs while adhering to all established procedures and protocolsRequirements:One (1) year food service experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experienceWhere You'll WorkSince 1885, CHI St. Alexius Health has been dedicated to leading health care in this region by enriching the lives of patients through the highest quality of care.
